Aberdeen manager Sandro Schwarz has ignited a storm in Scottish football after delivering a furious post-match interview following his side’s controversial 2–1 defeat to Celtic at Pittodrie. The German coach went as far as threatening to submit his resignation if what he described as “Celtic’s control over the SFA” continues unchecked.
The dramatic comments came after a tense encounter that saw Celtic edge Aberdeen despite an early setback. Celtic defender Kieran Tierney opened the scoring in the 5th minute with a powerful finish that stunned the home crowd, but Aberdeen quickly responded when Kevin Nisbet converted a penalty in the 19th minute to level the score. The match remained fiercely contested throughout the second half before Benjamin Nygren struck in the 67th minute to give Celtic what proved to be the decisive goal.
