Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson surprised Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum with an incredibly thoughtful gift recently, which caught everyone’s attention.
Jackson sent a signed jersey to Tatum, who ruptured his Achilles during the Celtics’ NBA playoff run. On the jersey, the quarterback wrote, “Wishing you 100% recovery champ!”
Tatum posted the signed jersey to his Instagram story and captioned it, “Love.”
Tatum’s injury occurred during Game 4 against the New York Knicks on May 12, not only ending his season, but also possibly cancelling out his 2025-26 season as well due to the recovery time from an Achilles injury. He underwent surgery the day after he sustained the injury .
However, it’s clear Jackson is a fan and is hoping he returns as quickly as possible. Celtics fans are definitely agreeing with the Ravens quarterback on this one, wanting their star player back.
But, it truly is incredible to see one of the best in the NFL show respect in such a public and heartwarming way to one of the best in the NBA.
Greatness recognizes greatness!
