As the head coach of the University of Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team for an unprecedented 38 seasons, Summitt set records that remain untouchable. With 1,098 career victories—the most by any NCAA basketball coach, male or female, at the time of her retirement—Summitt was the epitome of success. Under her leadership, the Lady Vols claimed eight NCAA Championships, 16 SEC regular-season titles, and 16 SEC tournament titles.
