Ryan Gravenberch’s Agent Clarifies ‘Dream’ Real Madrid Move Comments

Ryan Gravenberch’s agent has denied claims that the Liverpool midfielder is seeking a move to Real Madrid, despite earlier comments hinting at the possibility. The 22-year-old has impressed in his role under manager Arne Slot, forming a crucial part of Liverpool’s midfield, alongside Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.

Gravenberch’s agent, Jose Fortes Rodriguez, had sparked speculation when he told Spanish media that he would love for the Netherlands international to join Real Madrid. He reflected on Gravenberch’s development at Ajax and expressed belief in his potential to succeed at the Spanish club.

However, Rodriguez later clarified his comments on social media, stating that it was his own dream for the player to join Madrid, not Gravenberch’s. The agent emphasized that the player is happy at Liverpool, reinforcing that his “dream club” is Madrid, not Gravenberch’s.

While Real Madrid has reportedly shown interest, Rodriguez acknowledged that it is unlikely for Gravenberch to make a move this summer due to Liverpool’s high asking price.

Gravenberch, who joined Liverpool from Bayern Munich for £34.2 million in 2023, has thrived since being repositioned into a deeper No. 6 role, playing a key part in Liverpool’s impressive push for the Premier League title.
