The Buffalo Sabres have avoided arbitration with RFA defenseman Bowen Byram by signing him to a two year deal with an AAV of $6.25 million.
The 24 year old appeared in all 82 games for Buffalo last season and posted career highs in average time on ice (22:42), assists (31), points (38), plus-minus (+11) and shot blocks (116).
There was a lot of speculation around Byram regarding trades and offer sheets, so it’s good to see him signed for the next two years.
