It is in this context that Raheem Sterling has become a key name in the transfer discussion. However, Newcastle United are not alone in monitoring the situation. Other Premier League clubs — including Crystal Palace and Leeds United — are also believed to be ready to test Chelsea’s resolve. Whether Chelsea are prepared to sanction his departure remains to be seen. The London club continue to rebuild under a new-look structure, and they may view an exit as an opportunity to reshape the wage bill and refresh the squad further.
